Kitaravirtuoosi Adrian Belew liittyi King Crimsonin riveihin vuonna 1981. Belewin bändiin liittymisen jälkeen King Crimsonin soundi muuttui aikaisempaa enemmän new waven suuntaan. Ennen King Crimsonia Belew oli ehtinyt soittaa jo Talking Headsissa sekä Frank Zappan ja David Bowien yhtyeissä. Belew tunnetaan kokeiluistaan erilaisten ääniefektien kanssa, kitarasyntetisaattorin käytöstä ja erilaisia eläimiä ja koneita jäljittelevistä kitarahälyäänistään. Miehen Youtubesta löytyvät kitaransoiton opetusvideot ovatkin saaneet suuren suosion. Belew on julkaissut 15 sooloalbumia.
Illan avaa niinikään lukuisia albumeita julkaissut harmonikkataiteilija Kimmo Pohjonen. Pohjonen on saanut urallaan useita tunnustuksia ja palkintoja. Hän on ollut ehdolla muun muassa BBC Radio 3 Music Awardisissa vuosina 2002, 2005 ja 2012. Vuonna 2012 Pohjoselle myönnettiin myös Pro Finlandia -mitali ja Vuoden esteettinen teko -palkinto konsertista romanikatusoittajien kanssa.
