Beth Hartin konsertti oli yksi Pori Jazzin odotetuimpia, mutta hän joutui pettymyksekseen perumaan sen vain päivää aikaisemmin tiukkatahtisella kiertueella ilmenneiden ääniongelmien vuoksi. Loppuvuodesta suomalaisfanien odotus kuitenkin palkitaan kun Hart tekee oman keikkansa Savoy-teatterissa. Edellisen kerran Hart konsertoi Suomessa viime marraskuussa täydelle Tavastia-klubille.
Los Angelesista kotoisin oleva Beth Hart nousi kuuluisuuteen toisen albuminsa hitillä ”LA Song (Out Of This Town)” vuonna 1999, mutta on tehnyt varsinkin viime vuosina tietään suurten blues-nimien joukkoon. Muun muassa Jeff Beckin ja Slashin kanssa hedelmällistä yhteistyötä tehnyt Hart oli ehdolla Grammy-palkinnon saajaksikin vuonna 2014 yhdessä Joe Bonamassan kanssa tehdystä albumista ”Seesaw”. Hän oli samana vuonna myös ehdolla Blues Music Awardsissa parhaan naispuolisen nykyblueslaulajan kategoriassa. Beth Hartin tuorein levy on huhtikuussa julkaistu ”Better Than Home”, joka nousi Yhdysvalloissa Billboard Blues -listan ja iTunes Blues -listan ykköseksi.
