Maailman tunnetuimpiin kotimaisiin metallibändeihin lukeutuva Children of Bodom esiintyy Helsingin Jäähallin Black Boxissa torstaina 3. joulukuuta yhdessä yhdysvaltalaisen Lamb of Godin kanssa. Lämppärinä soittaa brittiläinen Sylosis.
Children of Bodom julkaisee lokakuun alussa odotetun uuden albuminsa ”I Worship Chaos”, jolta on saatu kuulla jo ennakkoon ”Morrigan”-single. Eurooppalaisia festareita koko kesän tahkonneen bändin nokkamiehen Alexi Laihon on pitänyt kiireisenä myös Helsingin Juhlaviikoille sävelletty tilausbiisi, joka esitetään miehen itsensä ja sadan muun kitaristin toimesta Senaatintorin lavalla tämän viikon perjantaina #100GuitarsFromHel -tapahtumassa. Children of Bodomin edellinen levy, vuonna 2013 julkaistu ”Halo of Blood” myi edeltäjiensä tapaan Suomessa kultaa ja se palkittiin Vuoden metallialbumin Emmalla.
Kesäkuussa Tuska Festivalilla esiintynyt Lamb of God julkaisi vastikään seitsemännen levynsä ”VII: Sturm Und Drang”, joka luotaa syvällisesti bändin ja erityisesti vokalisti Randy Blythen koettelemuksia viime vuosilta hänen ollessaan syytteessä Tsekeissä bändin keikalla sattuneesta kuolemantapauksesta. Oikeudenkäynnissä syytteistä lopulta vapautettu Blythe on päässyt purkamaan vankeuskokemuksensa levylle ja yhtyeen hyytävään ”As the Palaces Burn” -dokumenttielokuvaan. ”VII: Sturm Und Drang” on kerännyt jo huippuarviot musiikkilehdistössä ja Tuskan keikkakin todistaa yhtyeen olevan erittäin tiukassa live-kunnossa viime vuosien tauon jälkeen.
Brittiläinen Sylosis on esiintynyt Suomessa viimeksi vuonna 2013 Killswitch Engagen lämppärinä. Sylosis julkaisi uuden albuminsa ”Dormant Hearts” alkuvuodesta, jonka jälkeen yhtye on kiertänyt ahkerasti Eurooppaa klubeilla ja kesäfestivaaleilla.
Black Box on yhdessä Jäähallin kanssa toteutettava 3000 hengen tilakonsepti, jossa yleisö pääsee nauttimaan sekä intiimin klubikeikan energiasta että isosta keikkatuotannosta seisaaltaan. Black Box luodaan Jäähalliin tilanjakoratkaisuilla istumakatsomoiden jäädessä kokonaan verhojen taakse. Tila mahdollistaa ison keikkatuotannon toteuttamisen ääni- ja valolaitteistoineen ilman, että tingitään klubitunnelmasta.
Children of Bodomin ja Lamb of Godin konsertin toteuttavat yhteistyössä Tuska Open Air Metal Festival ja Live Nation Finland.
