“Lääkäriveljen kohtalo” – “Läkarbroderns öde” - ‘The Fate of the Composer’s Doctor Brother’
Teemana on tällä kertaa Sibeliuksen lääkäriveljen vaiheikas elämä. Duo esittää Wiurilan Juhlasalissa Sibeliuksen ja Federico Ermirion teoksia.
Italian cello virtuoso Domenico Ermirio and Finnish piano artist Folke Gräsbeck have performed together several times. After their successful concert at Wiurila last year, they return to perform again. The theme of the concert is the destiny of the brother of Jean Sibelius, who was a doctor and had an eventful life. The duo will perform works by both Sibelius and Federico Ermirio in Wiurila’s Grand Ballroom.

Jean Sibeliuksen 150-vuotisjuhlia juhlittiin maailmanlaajuisesti, myös Italiassa. Säveltäjä Federico Ermirio (1950–), mm. Goffredo Petrassin ja Franco Donatonin oppilas, järjesti huomattavan tapahtuman Ligurian Rivieralla, nimeltään Sibelius Festival – Golfo del Tigullio. Konsertteja pidettiin Rapallossa, Santa Margherita Ligure’ssa, Reccossa, jne. Festivaali on ollut hyvin menestyksekäs, ja järjestetään tänä syksynä viides kerta. Hämeenlinnan Sibelius-Seura vieraili festivaalilla syksyllä 2017.
Sibelius’s 150th Anniversary in 2015 was celebrated worldwide, also in Italy. The composer Federico Ermirio (1950–), a pupil of Goffredo Petrassi and Franco Donatoni, arranged a major event in the Ligurian Riviera, called Sibelius Festival – Golfo del Tigullio. With concerts in Rapallo, Santa Margherita Ligure and Recco, the festival was very successful, and it is arranged also this year in October, for the fifth time.
