Pe 1.5.2015 Helsinki, Nosturi +The Ruffes
Hardcore-vaikutteista punkia ja räppiä yhdistelevän Dog Eat Dogin 25-vuotisjuhlakiertue saapuu vappupäivänä 1. toukokuuta Nosturiin. Aikaisemmin Suomessa ainoastaan vuonna 1996 vierailleen yhdysvaltalaisbändin konsertin liput ovat nyt myynnissä Tiketissä.
New Yorkin hardcore-skenessä vuonna 1990 perustettu Dog Eat Dog oli yksi ensimmäisistä räppiä, punkia ja funkia sekoitelleista bändeistä. Kokoonpano nousi valtavirran suosioon skatepunkin menestysvuosina 90-luvun puolivälissä ”All Boro Kings”- (1994) ja ”Play Games” (1996) -levyiltä löytyneillä hiteillään ”No Fronts”, ”Who’s The King” ja ”Isms”. Dog Eat Dogin biisien tunnetuimpia elementtejä ovat aina olleet miesjoukon laulamat hoilotuskertosäkeet sekä saksofonin soitto muiden instrumenttien rinnalla.
Dog Eat Dogin alkuperäiskokoonpano palasi lavoille bändin 20-vuotispäivien yhteydessä vuonna 2010, ja sittemmin yhtye on keikkaillut varsinkin Keski-Euroopassa. Uransa saatossa Dog Eat Dog on tehnyt yhteistyötä muun muassa Run-DMC:n, Wu-Tang Clanin ja Cro Magsin jäsenten kanssa sekä kiertänyt lukemattomien bändien seurassa Cypress Hillistä Rage Against The Machineen. Nykyisin Dog Eat Dogin perintö kuuluu esimerkiksi Hollywood Undeadin kaltaisten yhtyeiden soundissa.
Aikaisemmin Dog Eat Dog on vieraillut Suomessa ainoastaan vuonna 1996, jolloin kokoonpano esiintyi Tavastialla ja Ilosaarirockissa.

Nosturin-keikalle ei ole ikärajaa, mutta täysi-ikäisille on rajattu anniskelualue.
