To celebrate this special occasion, Intergalaktik will be joined by the true Grand Old Man of the Finnish reggae scene, PEKKA VUORINEN, who has been involved in the scene for over 40 years. He has promised to dig very deep into the very foundation of this music. Watch out for some very special selections played by all selectors through the Intergalaktik´s own heavyweight sound system, with MC Nestori chanting pon the microphone!

INTERGALAKTIK SOUND SYSTEM
INTERGALAKTIK is a real sound system with its roots in the love for the music. For the last 10 years they have been playing roots reggae music in Finland and abroad, from foundation to the future, with their own style and flavor. Whether it's an old classic or the latest craze, the tune must always be a true gem that stands the test of time. Expect to hear some special dubplate selections from the vaults of Intergalaktik, as they are also running their own record label. Their first release “Leave it to Jah” by Nestori came out in 2007. Since then, they have worked with many artists like Kenny Knotts, Murray Man, Mikey Melody, U Brown and Ricky Benz. and Stikki Tantafari.

PEKKA VUORINEN (Cool Runnings):
Pekka Vuorinen is one of the founding members of the Finnish reggae scene. Pekka got into reggae music already more than 40 years ago, and is still hooked! In the late 70´s together with the late, great Tero “Daddy T-Roy” Kaski they founded Cool Runnings Reggae Magazine. Some years later they first visited Jamaica to experience the real sound system culture. Inspired by the trip and the local sound system scene, they wrote the classic book “Reggae inna dancehall Style”, which is internationally recognized as the first book ever written about the sound system scene. Pekka Vuorinen is still following reggae music, and he definitely knows the history of it!
