Pitkän uran autotallirockin ja punkin parissa luonut yhdysvaltalaisartisti Jack Oblivian saapuu The Sheiks -yhtyeensä tukemana Suomeen. Lauantaina 23. huhtikuuta Helsingissä Jätkäsaaressa sijaitsevassa Golden Classics Cafe & Bar -klubissa toteutuvan illan ohjelmiston täydentävät kotimaiset punkrock-yhtyeet The Heartburns ja The Toxics.
Jack Oblivian, oikealta nimeltään Jack Yarber, tunnetaan parhaiten yhtenä The Obliviansin ja The Compulsive Gamblersin nokkamiehistä. 80-luvulta jatkuneella urallaan myös lukemattomissa muissakin yhtyeissä vaikuttanut memphisläismuusikko on parhaillaan ajankohtainen alkuvuodesta julkaistusta albumistaan ”The Lone Ranger of Love”.
Suurelle yleisölle tuntematon Jack Oblivian on palvottu kulttinimi, jota pidetään autotallipunkin legendana ja yhtenä koko genren keskeisistä artisteista. White Stripesin ja Jay Reatardin kaltaisille nimille keskeisenä esikuvana toiminut Jack Oblivian saapuu Suomeen ensimmäistä kertaa.
