Yhdysvaltalainen laulaja-lauluntekijä John Grant saapuu Helsinkiin The Circus -klubille perjantai-iltana 11. marraskuuta. Tapahtuman liput tulevat myyntiin Ticketmasterissa perjantaina 8. heinäkuuta klo 9.00.
Vuosina 1994-2004 kuusi studioalbumia julkaisseen vaihtoehtorockyhtye The Czarsin riveissä uransa aloittanut John Grant tunnetaan parhaiten 2010-luvulla julkaistuista soololevyistään. Artistin läpimurto toteutui Mojo-lehden vuoden parhaaksi albumiksi palkitseman "Queen of Denmark" (2010) -levyn jälkimainingeissa, ja menestystä ovat jatkaneet kaksi seuraavaa pitkäsoittoa ”Pale Green Ghost (2013) ja ”Grey Tickles, Black Pressure” (2015).
Midlake-yhtyeen avustuksella laajempaan maineeseen noussut John Grant käsittelee kappaleissaan riipaisevalla tavalla henkilökohtaiseen elämäänsä liittyviä tapahtumia, kuten masennusta, addiktioita, HIV-tartunnan aiheuttamaa ahdistusta, epäonnista rakkautta sekä homoseksuaalina kokemaansa syrjintää. Artistin edellinen klubikeikka toteutui Savoy-teatterissa syksyllä 2011 ja tulevana kesänä John Grant nähdään myös Pori Jazzeilla.
