Nuoren amerikkalaisen säveltäjän Hannah Selinin kuorolaulu soi modernilla tavalla perinteistä suomalaista suomaisemaa kanteleen säestyksellä. Anne Teikari puolestaan kuvaa sävelteoksissaan vanhoja rakennettuja teollisuusmiljöitä ja surua, jota niiden katoaminen aiheuttaa. Sara Larikan uutuusteos kuvaa metsän puiden herkkiä ominaisuuksia, puun sielua, kasvua ja muuntumista eri olosuhteissa. Marko Suorsan metsä taas sijaitsee mielikuvituksen mustimmassa, kielletyssä piirissä.
