Akse Petterssonin Kaspar Hauser oli vuoden 2014 teatteritapaus. Nyt Stage-festivaalilla nähdään Petterssonin uusi ohjaus, yhteistyössä virolaisen Von Krahl Theatren kanssa keitetty komedia How The West Was Won. Näytelmä on moderni western, joka pureutuu vapauden käsitteeseen ja peilaa huumorin keinoin nykyihmisen ajoittain epäloogista arvomaailmaa.
How The West Was Won tarjoaa pakopaikan nyky-yhteiskunnasta: se vie katsojat saluunaan, jossa vain rohkeimmat pärjäävät. Saluunaan, jossa huorat kantavat veitsiä sukkahousuissaan ja desperadot janoavat kostoa - tämä on villi länsi, jossa kuka tahansa voi olla vapaa. A new play by Akse Pettersson, the man behind the 2014 theatre hit Kaspar Hauser, offers you a hideaway from modern society. How the West Was Won is a saloon packed with desperados, a place where anyone can be free. This comical western is a collaboration between Pettersson and the Estonian Von Krahl Theatre and reflects on the concept of freedom in today’s world.

Yhdeksättä kertaa järjestettävä Korjaamo Teatterin Stage -festivaali täyttää kaupungin kiinnostavimmalla kotimaisella ja kansainvälisellä teatterilla jälleen elokuussa. Korjaamo Teatterin tuottama, Kulttuuritehdas Korjaamolla ja yhteistyöteattereissa järjestettävä festivaali tarjoaa suuria tunteita ja henkilökohtaisia tarinoita sekä oivaltavia näkökulmia tämän päivän ilmiöihin. 12.–23.8.2015 juhlittava Stage on myös Helsingin juhlaviikkojen yhteistyöfestivaali.
