Kirjailija, entinen pappi ja “pohjoisen poika” Kai Sadinmaa tuo Hailuodon kirkkoon vuorovaikutuksellisen esitys-keskustelutapahtuman, joka luo tilan elämän peruskysymyksille ja palaa ihmisenä olemisen ja elämän juurille. Sadinmaan rippikoulu päivittää kristinuskon tähän päivään, räjäyttää palasiksi oikeaoppisuuteen tukehtuneen kristinusko-linnakkeen sekä vapauttaa hengen kirkollisesta pakkopaidastaan. Ironis-reflektiivinen ja viattomuutta tavoitteleva autofiktio riisuu katsojat aseista, murtaa totunnaisuuksia, synnyttää toivon ja lyö tiskiin ihmiskunta-universumimme lähtölaskentaa syväluotaavan sielunmessun.
Sadinmaan rippikoulussa mahdollistetaan oman hengellisyyden hahmottaminen ilman dogmaattisia oppeja. Esityksen teologia on metaforista. Sen retoriikka haastaa, kääntää ja kiertää kieltä uusiksi: Jumala on myös äiti, ystävä ja rakastaja. Noin tunnin mittaisen kestävän esityksen jälkeen seuraa toinen puoliaika eli keskustelu yleisön kanssa, jossa katsojilla on mahdollisuus jakaa ajatuksiaan, kommentoida ja kysyä.
