Viime vuonna Tavastialla vieraillut Negative Approach palaa syksyllä Helsinkiin. Yhdysvaltalainen hardcorepunk-yhtye sekä kotimaiset lämmittelijät Foreseen, Maailmanloppu, Perikato ja Death Race nousevat Ääniwalli-klubin lavalle perjantai-iltana 23. lokakuuta. Konsertin liput tulevat myyntiin Tiketissä keskiviikkona 9. syyskuuta.
HC-punkin historian keskeisiin nimiin lukeutuva Negative Approach perustettiin Detroitissa vuonna 1981 The Stoogesin ja Dischargen kaltaisten yhtyeiden innoittamana. Pian perustamisensa jälkeen bändi kiinnitettiin Touch & Go Recordsille (mm. Shellac, The Jesus Lizard), joka julkaisi Negative Approachin nimettömän esikois-ep:n (1982) ja bändin ainoaksi jääneen albumin ”Tied Down” (1983).
Negative Approach hajosi pian debyyttialbuminsa ilmestyttyä, mutta vuosien saatossa bändin maine on vain kasvanut. Yhtye kokosi rivinsä uudestaan syksyllä 2006, jonka jälkeen detroitilaisbändi on jatkanut uraansa vaihtelevalla aktiivisuudella. Negative Approachin livekunto on edelleenkin vähintään bändin alkuvuosien veroinen, joten luvassa on loppuvuoden tiukin Suomessa nähtävä hardcore-keikka.
