Tämän hetken mielenkiintoisimpiin reggae-artisteihin lukeutuva jamaikalaismuusikko Protoje saapuu vain kuukauden varoitusajalla Helsinkiin, kun jamaikalaisartisti nousee The Indiggnation -taustayhtyeensä kanssa Korjaamon lavalle torstaina 27. elokuuta. Protojen ensimmäisen Suomen-keikan liput ovat nyt myynnissä Tiketissä.
Protoje on vuodesta 2005 jatkuneella urallaan julkaissut toistaiseksi kolme studioalbumia ja mixtapea sekä suuren määrän singlejä, kuten Ky-Mani Marley kanssa levytetyn ”Rasta Man” -hitin. Artistin viimeisin pitkäsoitto on maaliskuussa ilmestynyt ”Ancient Future”, joka nousi Billboardin reggae-listan ykköseksi. Uudelta albumilta isoksi hitiksi on muodostunut Chronixxin kanssa esitetty ”Who Knows”.
Protoje on jo pitkään ollut vakioesiintyjä maailman johtavilla reggae-festivaaleilla, ja suurelle yleisölle hänen tuotantonsa on tullut tutuksi Grand Theft Auto V -pelin reggae-kanavalta, jota isännöi Lee ”Scratch” Perry.
Illan avaa uutta albumiaan työstävä Raappana. Levymusiikista vastaamassa DJ VG+ (Komposti Sound) sekä DJ Vilhelm.
