Evoluutio sijoittuu lähitulevaisuuteen, aikaan jossa valtioiden sosiaaliset ja tekniset infrastruktuurit ovat hajonneet ja hyväosaiset ovat eristäytyneet suljettuihin kaupunkeihin. Näytelmä on kuvaus perheestä, jolla on tehtävä: heidän tavoitteenaan on luoda uusi ihmislaji, joka ei ole lähtökohtaisesti itsetuhoinen.
Evoluutio on työryhmälähtöinen projekti, jossa käsikirjoituksen runko ja kohtausten pohjat ovat syntyneet erilaisten harjoitteiden ja improvisaatioiden tuloksena. Teatteri Quo Vadis on palkittu, kansainvälisesti toimiva ammattiteatteri, joka täyttää vuonna 2015 kolmekymmentä vuotta.

Evoluutio sai kantaesityksensä Korjaamo Teatterin Stage -festivaalilla elokuussa 2015.
