Melankolisen doomin kotimainen ykkösnimi Swallow the Sun julkaisi ylistetetyn tripla-albumin ”Songs from the North I, II & III" perjantaina 13.11.2015.
Yhtye lähti marras-joulukuussa mittavalle Euroopan kiertueelle yhdessä Wolfheartin kanssa. Kotimaiselle yleisölle yhtye esiintyy tänä vuonna vain Jyväskylässä tarjoten astetta rankemmat Tapaninpäivän tanssit Lutakossa 26.12.
Fanien toiveet ovat nyt kuultu ja Swallow the Sun julkistaa tekevänsä alkuvuodesta 2016 peräti seitsemän kotimaan keikan ”Songs from the North” -kiertueen. Yhtye nousee tammikuussa maan ykkösklubeille aina Helsingistä Ouluun ja Turusta Joensuuhun. Helsingin keikkapaikaksi 23.1.2016 valikoitui tietenkin Nosturi, joka tarjoaa myös alaikäisille mahdollisuuden päästä keikalle.
"Songs from the North I, II & III” on yhtyeen kuudes pitkäsoitto, joka on jatkumoa yhtyeen edellisille albumeille. Vaikka tripla-albumin levyt ovat erilaisia toisiinsa nähden, ne muodostavat yhden kokonaisuuden: yksi tarjoaa perinteistä Swallow the Sunia, toinen doomia ja kolmas akustishenkistä tunnelmointia.

Vuonna 2013 perustettu yhtye LIK sai alkunsa laulaja-kitaristi Tomas Åkvikin ja rumpali Chris Barkensjön halusta soittaa raskasta death metallia. Pian myös kitaristi Niklas Sandin (Katatonia) liittyi kokoonpanoon. Lokakuussa 2015 bändi julkaisi ensimmäisen albuminsa ”Mass Funeral Evocation” saksalaisen War Anthem Recordsin kautta.

HANGING GARDEN
Vuonna 2004 perustettu Hanging Garden julkaisi syyskuussa 2015 neljännen studioalbuminsa, Blackout Whiteout, Lifeforce Recordsin kautta. Uudella levyllään kuusihenkinen helsinkiläisyhtye jatkaa jo aiemmilla levyillä aloitettua tutkimusmatkaa raskaan musiikin rajapinnoilla, ammentaen yhä enemmän monipuolisempia vaikutteita sovinnaisen metallimusiikin viitekehyksen ulkopuolelta. Levyllä on vahva painotus analogisten soittimien saralla ja äänityksiä on tehty mm. jousisoittimilla, flyygelillä, rhodes-pianolla, thereminillä sekä Moogilla, mikä on rikastanut entisestään levyn runsasta äänimaailmaa.
