Orkesterin Pulssi on Oulu Sinfonian kannatusyhdistys, joka kerää varoja orkesterin toimintaan ja orkesterilaisten stipendeihin ja luo samalla jäsenilleen yhä syvempiä musiikkikokemuksia Oulu Sinfonian konserttien yhteydessä. Yhdistyksellä on myös aktiivinen matkatoiminta.
Jäsenilloissa Oulu Sinfonian mielenkiintoisia taiteilijapersoonia haastatellaan pidempään ja syvemmin, jatketaan siitä, mihin konserttien yhteydessä järjestettävät lyhyet Varaslähdöt lopettavat.

Orkesterin Pulssi syventää musiikin kokemusta jäsenilloissaan, joissa Oulu Sinfonian tähtivieraiden haastattelut menevät syvemmälle kuin Oulu Sinfonian konserttien yhteydessä järjestettävät lyhyet Varaslähdöt.
Orkesterin Pulssin matkatiimi järjestää jäsenille kiintoisia konserttimatkoja.
Samalla yhdistys kerää varoja orkesterin toimintaan ja orkesterilaisten stipendeihin, jotka jaetaan aina tammikuussa Virtuosi Ultimi -stipendigaalassa.
