Haaparannalla vuonna 2010 perustettu The Meänland on maailman ainoa bändi joka soittaa reggaeta meänkielellä.
Laulaja Adam ”Aatu” Huuva on koonnut yhtyeen vähemmistökielen asemaa pönkittämään. Musiikkityyliksi orkesterille on valikoitunut Jamaikalaislähtöinen reggae, joka myös on alkujaan vähemmistön musiikkia.
The Meänland versioi Bob Marleyn klassikoita ja vuosien saatossa on yhtyeeltä syntynyt omiakin biisejä. Huuvan ohella biisejä ovat tehneet tehneet kitaristi Sami Bergman ja basisti Jani Nikula.
Folk-rekki-pänti The Meänland luopii päänäns suomen- ja meänkielistä takatahtipoljentoa, jonka yniikit piirtheet tuleva keksheliäistä sanotuksista, rennosta rytmistä ja tinkimättömästä mysikhalitheetistä. Mysiikissä liikuthaan vuoron perhään hymuristisissä, henkevissä, kannanottavissa ja puliittisissa tunnelmissa.

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your The Meänland tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
