Alkukesän Sideways-festivaaleilla vieraillut The Soft Moon palaa syksyllä klubikeikan merkeissä Suomeen. Sanfranciscolainen post-punk -yhtye esiintyy Helsingissä Kuudennella Linjalla keskiviikkona 23. syyskuuta. Konsertin liput tulevat myyntiin Tiketissä maanantaina 20. heinäkuuta.
The Soft Moon on bändin keulahahmoon Luis Vasqueziin personoituva yhtye, joka yhdistelee tuotannossaan Joy Division -henkistä post-punkia, Suiciden synkkää elektronista ilmaisua, My Bloody Valentinen shoegazea ja uuden aallon synthpopia. Captured Tracks -levymerkille uransa alusta lähtien kiinnitetty kokoonpano julkaisi nimettömän debyyttinsä vuonna 2010, jonka jälkeen The Soft Moonilta on ilmestynyt kaksi muutakin albumia: ”Zeroes” (2012) ja ”Deeper” (2015).
The Soft Moon sukelsi maaliskuussa julkaistulla uutuusalbumillaan levyn nimen mukaisesti yhä syvemmälle apokalyptiseen post-punk -maailmaan, ja teoksen teemat liikkuvat haavoittuvuudessa, itsetuhoisuudessa ja toipumisessa.
