Kontrastien korttelit! Vallan ytimessä, kaupungintalokorttelin sisällä, lämpiää jo neljättä kertaa kaikille avoin ja maksuton joulusauna. Pieni sympaattinen puumökki, jonka saunojia on paikalla palvelemassa kaksi saunamajuria. Löylyistä pidetään hyvää huolta, ja ihmisistä myös.
Torikortteleiden Joulusaunassa on neljän vuoden aikana saunonut ihmisiä ympäri maailmaa, useista kymmenistä eri maista, osa ensimmäistä kertaa elämässään. Osa tulee siis kaukaa, osa ihan lähikortteleista. Kanssasaunojat ovat tärkeä osa kokemusta.
Viereisellä tunnelmallisella Talviterassilla voi nauttia glögin tai oluen saunan jälkeen. Tai nautiskella erikoisesta näystä muuten vaan.
Lämmitetyistä pukuhuoneteltoista löytyy pyyhkeitä, jos oma ei sattunut mukaan. Saunahiet voi huuhdella pikaisesti pihasuihkussa. Vuosipesua ei siis kannata suunnitella tälle saunareissulle. Sauna on sekasauna, päällä pyyhkeet tai uima-asu, tai saunojien yhteisen sopimuksen mukaan kukin tyylillään. Ruuhka-aikoina sauna-aika rajattu ja omaansa saattaa joutua odottamaan hetken.
Saunan tärkein ja ainoa sääntö on toisten saunojien kunnioittaminen.

The beloved Christmas tradition, Tori Quarters’ Christmas Sauna is here again from December 9th to 22nd!
Have a special sauna experience in the very heart of Helsinki. The authentic Sauna with a wood burning stove is located in an idyllic inner yard surrounded by the City Hall and the Bock House.
The Winter Terrace is found right by the sauna, where you enjoy mulled wine and cold beer. The Sauna is free of charge and takes no reservations. We offer warm changing tents and towels.
The most important (and only) rule is to respect other sauna bathers.
