Viitasen Piian tummanpuhuva luomufolk on hurmannut kolmella albumillaan niin kriitikot kuin liveyleisönkin, ja raivannut Viitaselle jalansijaa suomen eturivin tarinankertojien joukossa.
Syksyllä 2012 julkaistu Viitasen Piian debyyttialbumi keräsi lukuisia loistavia arvioita ja sai mainittavasti radiosoittoa, vaikka kyseessä oli omakustanne. Texicalli Recordsin julkaisema toinen albumi Uni onnesta toi yhtyeelle Emma-ehdokkuuden, sekä paikan Helsingin Sanomien vuoden 2014 parhaiden levyjen joukossa. Yhtyeen loppuvuodesta 2016 julkaistu kolmas albumi Laulumaa on jatkanut nousujohteista kulkua, ja kerännyt täydet viisi tähteä niin Helsingin Sanomilta, Keskisuomalaiselta, kuin myös Ilkalta
ja Pohjalaiselta. MTV.fi valitsi Laulumaan vuoden kotimaiseksi
albumiksi.
