Yhdysvaltalainen hiphop-artisti Yelawolf palaa vuosien tauon jälkeen Suomeen. Keväällä viimeisimmän albuminsa julkaissut Yelawolf nousee Tavastian lavalle sunnuntai-iltana 22. marraskuuta.
Alabamassa kasvanut Yelawolf aloitti uransa 2000-luvun alussa. Ensimmäisten omakustanteiden jälkeen ilmestynyt debyyttialbumi ”Creekwater” (2005) loi pohjaa artistin tulevalle suursuosiolle, joka käynnistyi lopullisesti ”Trunk Muzik” -mixtapen (2010) myötä.
Yelawolfin tuorein studioalbumi ”Love Story” ilmestyi tämän vuoden huhtikuussa. Huippuarviot saaneen ja suoraan Yhdysvaltojen listan kolmanneksi nousseen levyn tuottajana toimi hiphopin supertähti Eminem, jonka pyörittämälle Shady Recordsille artisti nykyisin myös levyttää. ”Love Story” vie Yelawolfin tuotantoa yhä orgaanisempaan suuntaan, ja räppäämisen ohella artisti myös laulaa levyllä aikaisempaa enemmän.
Tuleva konsertti on Yelawolfin ensimmäinen headliner-keikka Suomessa. Aikaisemmin artisti on nähty maassamme vuoden 2012 Jurassic Rockissa.
