Suuret kriisit herättävät meissä kaikissa sekä uusia että muinaisia voimia. Tässä kriisissä ihmisten todellinen ja alkuperäinen identiteetti on uhattuna sekä Ukrainassa että Venäjän alkuperäiskansojen keskuudessa. Tapahtuman tarkoituksena on saattaa meidät yhteen rituaalin äärelle, kosketuksiin juuriemme & sisäisen luontomme kanssa.
Tuomas Rounakarin Bear Awakener levy herättää sisällämme uinuvaa myyttistä karhua. Kappaleet ovat peräisin suomalaisten ja karjalaisten sekä sukukansojemme hantien ja mansien karhunpeijaisperinteistä. Myytti karhun synnystä on kaikille näille kansoille lähes sanasta sanaan yhteinen. Taivaisesta Otavasta, kultaisessa komsiossa maahan laskeutuva ensimmäinen Ohto.

Tuomas Rounakari (s. 1977) on suomalainen viulisti, säveltäjä, etnomuskologi ja kouluttaja. Rounakari on tutkinut suomalais-ugrilaisten ja arktisten kansojen rituaalista musiikkia sekä toiminut merkittävästi karjalaisen itkuvirsiperinteen elvyttäjänä. Hän on säveltänyt musiikkia elokuviin, TV:lle ja teattereille.
Hän on folk-metallia soittavan Korpiklaani -yhtyeen jäsen (vuodesta 2012) sekä alkuperäiskansojen kanssa yhteistyötä tekevän teatteriryhmä Ruska Ensemblen perustajajäsen. Korpiklaanin, soolouransa ja teatteriproduktioiden kautta Rounakari on yksi Suomen aktiivisimmin ulkomailla esiintyvistä viulisteista.

Bear Awakener Album Release Concert for Ukrainian MothersBig crises awaken in all of us both new and ancient powers. In this crises, the original identities of peoples have been seriously manipulated, threatened and violated, both in Ukraine and among the indigenous people of Russia. The true meaning of our evening, is to gather together around the ritual, get in touch with our roots and reconnect with our inner sacred nature.
The name Bear Awakener comes from specific songs sung in order to awaken the bear. This album dives deep into the bear myths and is designed to re-awaken or cherish anyones connection with this mythical entity.
The myth of a bear’s origin is identical among the Finns and the indigenous Khanty and Mansi people. Both cultures run ceremonial Bear feasts that last several days. Many songs, dances and plays are performed in honor of the bear. Tuomas Rounakari has studied the bear feast songs of all of these cultures. On-site also promotional product sales.Tuomas Rounakari is an internationally acclaimed violinist, composer and ethnomusicologist from Finland. He is a one-man-band blending violin, vocals and stomping with ankle-bells. In his performance he enters various trance-states.
He is inspired by different forms of dialogue; man and nature, the seen and the unseen world, ancient and future. His first solo album Shamanviolin was a result of ethnomusicological studies of the earliest 20th century wax-cylinder recordings from Siberia. These studies have also led to many collaborations with indigenous artists. He is one of the few artists who have actually returned their art to native communities for evaluation and development.
Nadiya Association actively supports the refuges of Ukrainian War and other victims of the crises in Finland, Ukraine and Europe. On-spot possibility to join the association by becoming a member.
